Countdown Party was a seasonal, one-off parade held during Tokyo Disneyland's Countdown Party event from 1993 to 2011.
Summary[]
The Countdown Party event would encompass a parade, special versions of other shows, and access into Tokyo Disneyland after park closing hours. The parade would be the staple of the event, with most featuring floats and music used in the previous year and a firework show at midnight. The special version of shows such as 'Minnie Oh! Minnie!' would only include a countdown to midnight between the first and second finales of the show.
While "Countdown Party 2012" was announced on October 21, 2010, it would be canceled in June 2011 for unknown reasons, but research suggests a lack of interest and shortened business hours were key players in the decision.
After retirement[]
After retirement, Tokyo Disney Resort continued to host a New Year's Eve event, although it would only offer a fireworks show along with special business hours. The aforementioned fireworks show would continue to perform until the 2019-2020 events. Following Tokyo Disney Resort's 2020 reopening, it was announced that New Year's Eve events would not be hosted in 2020. This cancellation has continued, affecting the 2021-2025 events as well.
Countdown Preview Nights[]
Starting in 2006, Tokyo Disneyland would hold the "Countdown Preview Night", which included a "preview" performance of the countdown parade. The "Countdown Preview Night" event would end after the 2008 celebrations.

15th Anniversary Countdown Party '99[]
The 1998-1999 version of the parade coincided with the 15th anniversary of the Tokyo Disney Resort.
Millennium Countdown Party[]
The 1999-2000 version of the parade commemorated the new Millennium. and instead of saying "Happy New Year!" After the explosion, It will say "Happy New Millenium!"
New Century Countdown Party[]
The 2000-2001 version of the parade commemorated the New Century.
