Courtney Bernard Vance is an American actor. His acting roles have included The Hunt for Red October, Space Cowboys, Final Destination 5, Terminator Genisys, The Mummy, Project Power, Law & Order, 12 Angry Men, The Wild Thornberrys, ER, The Closer, State of Affairs, and 61st Street.
For Disney, he played Jim in The Adventures of Huck Finn, Jacob DeBarge in Let It Shine, Merlin Kelly in The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, Cobra Bubbles in Lilo & Stitch (2025), and Zeus in Percy Jackson and the Olympians, replacing Lance Reddick. For Touchstone Pictures, he played Reverend Henry Biggs in The Preacher's Wife, and for Hollywood Pictures, he played Cooper in Holy Matrimony and George Grandey in Dangerous Minds. For 20th Century Studios, he voiced the Narrator in Isle of Dogs.
Additionally, for ABC, he played Curtis in Thirtysomething, Stanford Wedeck in Flashforward, Benjamin Brooks in Revenge, and Clarence Parker in Scandal. For FX, he played Johnnie Cochran in The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story and Marshall Tryon in Grotesquerie. For National Geographic, he played C. L. Franklin in Genius: Aretha.
He also voiced Roderick Kingsley in the Marvel Entertainment series The Spectacular Spider-Man.
