"Critters!" is the first segment of the twelfth episode of Vampirina. It premiered on November 10, 2017 alongside "Cuddle Monster".
Plot[]
Vampirina is playing with the Scream Girls toys when Wolfie appears. As Gregoria says, there is no werewolf fetch in the house. Demi hears it and plays fetch with Wolfie, who knocks over a potion, shrinking him. Gregoria says that Vampirina's parents will be home late when he sees Wolfie. To change him back to his normal size, this is a job for the critternarian, who is a doctor who helps magical pets.
The critternarian, who is revealed as Dr. Paquette, then arrives, and is happy to help Wolfie. Vampirina introduces herself to Paquette and shows the shrunken Wolfie. Paquette says that all Wolfie needs is a dose of reversing pixie potion. Vampirina would like to help Paquette with Wolfie's checkup, as she is great with critters. Paquette and Vampirina then check on Wolfie, who is doing great so far. As for the egg, it hasn't budged. Inside it is the potion which is out of reversing pixie. Demi finds reverse grumpy gum serum which is for Gregoria. Paquette decides to head back to Transylvania to get a reversing pixie potion. He rotates and wraps the egg before doing so. Vampirina decides for her, Demi, and Gregoria to watch the egg while Paquette is away. She promises that she'll do a good job, as she's been a star critternarian so far.
Vampirina knows she'll be a great critternarian, and mentions how she kept watch over the other animals back in Transylvania and what could go wrong with watching an egg. Vampirina rotates the egg and is about to keep it warm and cozy with more blankets when the egg starts to hatch. The creature in the egg then runs, and Chef Remy Bones notices this. Demi, Gregoria, and Vampirina continue chasing after the egg, which then hatches, revealing to be a baby dragon. While Vampirina and Demi think he's cute, Gregoria sees a real-life dragon that looks like trouble. When the dragon sneezes, Gregoria realizes that she's up to no good. After being told by Vampirina, Gregoria decides to call Paquette. The dragon then eats part of the clock and burns the bird's cuckoo mechanism. She then chews many things, as she's hungry. The baby dragon then starts to chase Wolfie around until she heads into Paquette's bag.
Vampirina realizes that Paquette must have left the bag behind. She finds dragon food and uses it to feed the dragon as Gregoria says that Paquette is on the way. He then arrives and is delighted to see the dragon. Vampirina explains everything to him, as she wanted to be a great critternarian like him. Paquette is proud of what Vampirina has done, and tells her that it's always okay to ask for help when she needs it. Critternarians help all magical creatures in need, including each other. Paquette says that it's best that they change him back, and after Wolfie stays, Paquette turns him to his normal self. Vampirina likes him the normal size.
