Mickey discovers that Minnie is singing the same song he was planning to sing at the Park Picnic.
Plot[]
The episode begins with Mickey and Pluto weeding out their backyard garden while listening to music on the radio. The song Oh, Be Mine by Minnie comes on and Mickey starts singing it, hoping to perform it at the Hot Dog Hills Swinging and Singing Picnic. However, Minnie comes by and applauds Mickey's singing while revealing that she will be singing the same song. Mickey decides for himself that people like it better when Minnie sings and decides to perform another song.
Mickey and Minnie later meet Donald and Daisy at the picnic, where it is already filling up with visitors. Minnie tells Donald and Daisy about how Mickey will be performing her song; when they ask to hear a bit, however, Mickey pretends to have a dry throat and starts coughing, causing Goofy to spray Mickey with water from his Roadster. Chip and Dale later notice that Mickey and Minnie will be performing the same song, and start wondering if Mickey will perform the song differently than Minnie. Mickey again starts coughing, and Daisy assumes that Mickey swallowed a bug, causing Donald to shake him.
When the event begins, Mickey is scheduled to first, but Mickey, still nervous about not wanting to do the same song as Minnie, tries to hide among the crowd, causing the visitors to become restless. As Donald attempts to distract the crowd by dancing, Minnie finds Mickey hiding in a tree, where he confides in her about performing the same song. Minnie comes up with a solution: they perform the song together, and Mickey can add his own spins. The episode ends with Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Donald, and Pluto singing the song, with the crowd giving them lots of applause.
Trivia[]
The song Bow Be Mine is featured in the Mixed-Up Adventures series for the only time since the Roadster Racers episode, Super-Charged: Pop Star Helpers.
Although Kaitlyn Robrock voices Minnie in this episode (and onward) the late Russi Taylor's dialogue as Minnie when she's singing "Bow Be Mine" was recycled for this episode.
