Cuba Michael Gooding, Jr. is an American actor and voice actor, who is perhaps best known for his various film roles, including Trey "Tre" Styles in the 1991 crime drama film Boyz n the Hood, Rod Tidwell in the 1996 sports comedy-drama film Jerry Maguire (in which he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor), Carl Brashear in the 2000 drama film Men of Honor, James "Radio" Kennedy (alongside Ed Harris as Coach Harold Jones) in the 2003 biographical sports drama film Radio, and Charlie Hinton in the 2007 comedy film Daddy Day Camp (filling in for Eddie Murphy). In 2016, he played the titular character of the FX drama series The People v. O. J. Simpson, as well as co-starred in the sixth season of the horror anthology series American Horror Story, subtitled Roanoke.
For Disney, he portrayed a wedding guest in The Kid, Theodore "Ted" Brooks in the 2002 comedy film Snow Dogs, and voiced Buck in the 2004 Disney animated feature film Home on the Range. He also played Dr. Theo Caulder in the 1999 Touchstone Pictures film Instinct and Dorie Miller in Pearl Harbor.
