"Cubby's Crabby Crusade" is the first segment of the sixty-sixth episode of Jake and the Never Land Pirates. It premiered on January 31, 2014 alongside "The Never Sands of Time", and is the first segment of the fifth episode in the third season.

Synopsis[]

King Crab and his crab minions capture Cubby, mistaking him for Jake, and take him to King Crab Island.  Despite Cubby's protests, King Crab refuses to believe he isn't Jake and demands his help in stopping Captain Hook from stealing their most beloved treasure: the Golden Claw. Seeing a chance to prove himself, Cubby begins creating strategies to thwart Hook and become a true hero.

Plot[]

The episode begins with Cubby guarding the dinghy while Jake, Izzy, and Skully go searching for fruit. Cubby notices that Jake forgot his pirate sword and pretends to be him before falling for a nap. Some crabs notice Cubby and, mistaking him for Jake, kidnap the dinghy and Cubby and set sail for King Crab Island. Jake, Izzy, and Skully soon take notice and set sail after him.

Cubby wakes up on King Crab Island and the crabs, still believing that Cubby is Jake, introduce him to King Crab who explains that Captain Hook has tried and tried again to steal the Golden Claw and needs his help to stop him. No soon after the song is over that Captain Hook arrives walking on stilts to prevent the crabs from reaching him. Cubby then comes up with an idea to lure Captain Hook into some mud. The plan works successfully and earned two gold doubloons. Captain Hook arrives again with and Smee wearing knight armor to prevent the crabs from attacking them. Cubby then comes up with another idea to sneak crabs into Hook's armor, again successfully stopping him and Smee, earning three more gold doubloons.

Jake, Izzy, and Skully arrive on King Crab Island, finally allowing Cubby to explain everything to the crabs. After introductions, everyone notices Captain Hook and Smee making a final attempt to obtain the Golden Claw by flying in on their airship. Cubby explains that balloons can float and pop, causing them to descend, so to stop Hook, they need to pop his balloon. King Crab exclaims, "Oh, if only crabs could fly!" Cubby assures him that they can and has Izzy use her pixie dust to make the crabs fly and pop the balloon supporting the airship, finally stopping Hook once and for all and earning five more gold doubloons. The episode concludes with Jake and his crew celebrating with their 10 magical doubloons as Hook and Smee sadly sail away, with Hook still having crabs attached to his rear.
