"Cubby's Mixed Up Map" is the first segment of the forty-fourth episode of Jake and the Never Land Pirates. It premiered on December 7, 2012 alongside "Jake's Cool New Matey", and is the first segment of the nineteenth episode in the second season.
Plot[]
Cubby shows Jake and his crew the Crystal Cat and the Ruby Red Ruby on his hidden map of treasures, which they've found in the past. Cubby also mentions the Golden Dinghy, which they've never found before. Jake likes the idea, and decides for his crew to go find it. Cubby then shows the places they have to go through to get to the Golden Dinghy.
Izzy imagines a dinghy made of solid gold, which Captain Hook overhears. After Bones mentions it, Captain Hook tells Sharky to draw a map exactly like Cubby's with some changes to trick Jake's crew. Captain Hook's crew then arrive, and he bumps into Cubby before taking the map and giving the other one to him. Captain Hook states that his crew are off on their own treasure hunt before they leave. Izzy assumes that Captain Hook seemed nicer than usual, but Skully doesn't trust him.
Jake and his crew then resume looking for the Golden Dinghy, but go around in circles when they make it to Cuckoo Rock, getting lost. Meanwhile, Captain Hook and his crew arrive at Pipe-Organ Plain, where steam from Belch Mountain pumps the pillars up and down. Since he thinks the map offers no instructions to get across, Captain Hook decides to find the beat and time their safe passage. However, he forgets it, and they try to run across, but end up getting launched away by one of the pillars.
Meanwhile, Jake and his crew are still lost at Cuckoo Rock. Cubby decides to get up high and look around to find out where they are, and decides to do so from the top of Cuckoo Clock Rock. They then see Skull Rock, which is on Cubby's map, but the other one has it replaced with Hook Rock. Jake knows that Captain Hook was responsible for switching the maps. To find Captain Hook, Cubby draws the landmarks on the way to the Golden Dinghy. Jake compliments Cubby for being good with maps.
Meanwhile, Captain Hook and his crew arrive at Monkey Jungle. One of the monkeys swipes the map from Captain Hook when Jake and his crew arrive. They climb a tree and find out that more monkeys took the hats from Mr. Smee, Sharky, and Bones, as well. Cubby then offers bananas to two monkeys, with the second giving Cubby's map back to him. Cubby then tosses the fake map to Captain Hook, who wonders how Jake's crew found him. However, Captain Hook notices Cubby's talent with maps, and is shown where the treasure is.
Jake and his crew arrive at Thumbs Up Rock just as Captain Hook arrives. He removes the trees to find an ugly old brown wreck. Assuming it was not worth it, Captain Hook decides for his crew to head back to the Jolly Roger. Jake then mentions that Cubby's map is awesome, and uses his sword to remove the Never Land dirt and grime from the Golden Dinghy. Cubby also mentions that Captain Hook found the Golden Dinghy first, and he didn't know it. Jake and his crew then clean up the Golden Dinghy just as they hear Captain Hook and his crew heading down a river to Never Falls. So, Izzy uses her Pixie Dust on the Golden Dinghy for Jake and his crew to rescue them. Captain Hook is delighted to be riding in a Golden Dinghy, and Jake states that Cubby's map led to it.
Back on Pirate Island, Jake and his crew put the gold doubloons they collected into their Team Treasure Chest. Cubby reveals that in addition to his map, Jake and his crew brought back a boatload of bananas from the Golden Dinghy, only for a monkey to appear from them. Back on the Jolly Roger, Captain Hook tells Mr. Smee that he's using his own map, and as a result, his crew have been sailing around in circles for hours.
