"Dance-lvania" is the second segment of the eighteenth episode of Vampirina. It premiered on April 27, 2018 alongside "Mummy's Day".
Synopsis[]
Vee hosts a dance party at the Scare B&B to celebrate her favorite Transylvanian holiday, Dance-lvania Day.
Plot[]
Vampirina is looking for her favorite shoes with Demi helping with no luck. Demi remembers that today is Dance-lvania Day, Vampirina's favorite holiday. It is a whole day where monsters show off their monstrous dance moves. All of Vampirina's friends are coming over, and she can't show them the Transylvanian dances without her dance shoes. Gregoria then appears from inside the closet with Vampirina's shoes, as she was a little excited about the day. Just then, Oxana and Boris arrive and are just as excited for the day. Boris used to be one of the grooviest groovers at Transylvania Trance, which is a dance club for monsters. Oxana states that Vampirina should see everyone in the house, and Vampirina sings about what Dance-lvania day is all about.
Vampirina then hopes that her friends like the day as much as the Hauntleys do, as they don't know the Transylvanian dances Demi demonstrates. Boris and Oxana reassure Vampirina that her friends will do so great that the boogeyman will be so jealous. Demi also discusses some other things when the doorbell rings. Instead of Poppy and Bridget, Mr. Walker appears and the Hauntleys introduce themselves to him. He is just dead tired, as he has been traveling for days. Oxana and Boris are against hosting a zombie on Dance-lvania Day, as there will be a lot of humans. Vampirina suggests that since the Hauntleys have never turned down a guest, they have to let Mr. Walker stay, as long as he is kept hidden from the humans. Vampirina tells Mr. Walker that he can stay. As he goes to bed, Demi tests that a loud sound doesn't wake him up. Just then, Vampirina's friends arrive for the party.
Vampirina states that it's tradition to start every Dance-lvania Day with the Spooky Shuffle. Bridget and Edgar didn't practice it, but Vampirina decides to show everyone how it's done with music from Demi, who is now a DJ. Vampirina is about to show everyone the dance when she is distracted by Mr. Walker sleepwalking. She tells everyone what is up with him. Gregoria states that Mr. Walker has started zombie walking, which is what all zombies do for days, even when doing different activities. She also mentions that zombies only wake up when they're rested. Vampirina decides to get Mr. Walker back to bed.
Demi eats a boo burger, and the smell captures Mr. Walker's attention. Vampirina then takes the burger to the bed which the zombie sleeps in. However, Demi takes the burger and the zombie still goes after it, breaking the door in the process. Vampirina mentions that the zombie needs something to eat. Meanwhile, the others are waiting for Vampirina to arrive and show them the dance. Boris decides to entertain everyone with his moves until Vampirina arrives. Meanwhile, Vampirina and Gregoria tell Chef Remy Bones about the problem regarding Mr. Walker. Bones states that he keeps Zom B's cereal, his favorite food of the zombies, with him at all times for such an emergency. Mr. Walker eats it and makes poltergeist pizza afterwards. After Poppy mentions it, Vampirina decides for Demi to play Mr. Walker a monster melody. It doesn't work, as he sings along. Edgar almost sees this, but is held back by Vampirina. Edgar tells her about the dance party being a bust due to Boris being the only one dancing.
Vampirina states that she ruined the party, but Gregoria tells her that it's not ruined and that she doesn't give up if she misses a step in the middle of a dance move; instead, she should keep dancing. Vampirina thanks Gregoria for it, but Demi tells everyone about Mr. Walker joining the party. Vampirina decides to put a hat on him while he dances the Spooky Shuffle, impressing everyone. Vampirina does the dance with Mr. Walker, and everyone joins in. Vampirina tells everyone about Mr. Walker, one of her friends with Transylvania, who came to help everyone kick off Dance-lvania Day. Edgar sees that he has mad skills and that his different dances are what's great. Everyone then continues the dance and follows Mr. Walker on the conga line, making the day a success.
