Trivia[]
- Danny's name is a reference to his voice actor, Daniel Suárez, who is a professional NASCAR race car driver. Interestingly, Suárez's story is quite similar to Danny's, as both have replaced a much older racer who had the same racing number (Suárez replaced Carl Edwards, who was racing with the number #19, before he unexpectedly retired).
- He is the only Next-Gen racer voiced by a NASCAR race car driver to have not been interviewed at the Florida International Super Speedway about the fact that Lightning McQueen has not yet arrived at the speedway.
- He is the only background Next-Gen racer to have been seen in 1st place.
- He and Haul Inngas are the only known Piston Cup racers to have not been built in the United States. Danny was built in Mexico, while Haul was built somewhere in Europe.
- Due to the NASCAR crossover die-cast line, his number is now #99. This is a reference to the racing number of Daniel Suárez's car.
- In the Latin Spanish dub of Cars 3, his name is Carros "Carlos" Giron.
