Daniel "Danny" Trejo is an American actor and voice actor, who is best known for his "tough guy" roles in films as a villain or anti-hero, such as Navajas in Desperado, Gilbert Trejo in Heat, Razor Charlie in From Dusk till Dawn, and Isador "Machete" Cortez in the Spy Kids franchise, a role he reprised in the 2010 action film Machete. He also voiced Jasper the stork in the 2016 WAG animated film Storks, Boots the Monkey in the live-action adventure film Dora and the Lost City of Gold, and played Eduardo Hernandez in the Universal Pictures comedy film Grand-Daddy Day Care (both released in 2019).
For Disney, he filmed a cameo role for the 2011 musical comedy film The Muppets as a prisoner, but his scene was cut from the final film. Footage from the scene was shown in The Fuzzy Pack trailer. He did, however, have a role in Muppets Most Wanted, where he played a Gulag prisoner (also named Danny Trejo; Trejo was an inmate at San Quentin State Prison for three years).
His other Disney roles include voicing Venom in Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel, Antonio Agama in Elena of Avalor, Wreck and Malice Marauder in Tangled: The Series, Vasquez in Big City Greens, Bobby Daniels in The Ghost and Molly McGee, the lead piñata in the Mickey Mouse episode "¡Feliz Cumpleaños!", Terry in the Monsters at Work episode "The C.R.E.E.P. Show", and portraying Slim Pierce in Six Days, Seven Nights and Cousin Huet in Muppets Haunted Mansion. He also played Johnny-23 in the 1997 Touchstone Pictures film Con Air, Slim in Bubble Boy, and Rancor Trainer in The Book of Boba Fett.
