Darleen Carr is an American actress and voice actress. Her Disney roles include Shanti in The Jungle Book, additional voices in the Darkwing Duck episode "Dry Hard", Laurie Carlson in the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color mini-series "Gallegher Goes West" episodes "Tragedy on the Trail" and "Trial by Terror", Lisa Reed in the Disney Sunday Movie episode "Hero in the Family", and Sidoni Riserau in Monkeys, Go Home!.

Biography

Darleen Carr was born as Darlene Farnon on December 12, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. She is the younger sister of Charmian Carr and Shannon Farnon, and the daughter of Rita Oehmen, an actress, and Brian Farnon, a composer.

Her film roles include appearances in Monkeys, Go Home! (1967) with Maurice ChevalierThe Impossible Years (1968) with David Niven, Death of a Gunfighter (1969) with Richard Widmark, The Beguiled (1971) with Clint Eastwood, Eight Days a Week (1997) with Keri Russell, and TV horror movies such as The Horror at 37,000 Feet (1973) and the TV remake of Piranha (1995).

She is also a singer and sang in The Sound of Music, dubbing the high singing voice for Duane Chase as Kurt. She released an album, The Carr-DeBelles Band, in 1988.

In 1974, she married Jason Laskay, but they divorced in 1977. She also had one son who died in 1982. In 1992, she married Jameson Parker.
