"Davenport's in Demise" is the second segment of the thirty-third episode of the Disney Channel animated series The Ghost and Molly McGee.
Synopsis[]
When Davenport's closes, Andrea must figure out who she is without her family's store.
Plot[]
Mayor Brunson successfully keeps Biz Mart from opening a store within Brighton, but he cannot prevent them from opening a store literally outside of town. Unfortunately, everyone is drawn to wanting to buy from the new store and Davenport's begins to lose business, essentially making the Davenports broke. Andrea reveals to Molly that this has caused her to question her future as she has had her whole life planned out. Molly decides that she has to help Andrea get back up on her feet and agrees to help her regain her identity. Meanwhile, Scratch declares that he has a "rock 'n roll personality", but Molly doesn't see it and Scratch is offended.
Molly has Andrea resort to other forms of influencer acts such as make-up tips, snack tasting, and the like. As she does so, her family slowly begins to lose more and more business and Andrea begins to lose more followers, something she has never experienced before. Scratch asks Pete and Sharon, and then later Geoff and Jeff for their opinion on him having a rock 'n roll personality, but is met with the same indifference, with him being told that he is actually quite sad. Andrea continues to try different tactics, but slowly begins to lose more and more followers while Molly tries to keep her on her toes.
Darryl eventually talks to Scratch and tells him that in order to get a rock 'n roll personality, he needs to not care about what others think of him, ironically gaining said personality. Andrea eventually tells Molly that she does not know who she is and felt that the store was the only reason why she had any influence to begin with. Now that she has nothing, she does not feel like herself. To Molly's surprise, she accidentally had her camera on, but this results in her getting more followers who like Andrea's new open personality. Andrea is uplifted, but decides to take Molly's earlier advice by taking a break from social media. Scratch then steals a pie she baked.
