David Rodney Kaufman is an American actor and voice actor, who is perhaps best known for his notable voice roles as Dexter Douglas (Freakazoid's alter ego) in the Kids' WB series Freakazoid!, Jimmy Olsen in Superman: The Animated Series, the titular character of the Nickelodeon animated series Danny Phantom, Marty McFly in the Back to the Future animated TV series, and the titular character of Stuart Little: The Animated Series (replacing Michael J. Fox after his retirement).
For Disney, he voiced the Human Torch in The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Aldrin Pesky in The Buzz on Maggie, and Jack and Brix in Goldie & Bear.
Kaufman was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and began acting at a young age in his hometown when his kindergarten teacher handed him the lead role of Santa Claus in the class Christmas play. At the age of 18, he moved from St. Louis to attend UCLA as a theater major. Since his college years, Kaufman has studied and worked extensively as a professional actor in films and television.
