David Charles Paymer is an American actor, comedian, and director. He is known for appearing in films, such as City Slickers, State and Main, Payback, Get Shorty, Carpool, and Oceans Eleven.
He has also directed TV shows, such as Grey's Anatomy, One Tree Hill, and Bunheads.
For Disney, he played Dr. Harry Ruben in the 1998 remake of Mighty Joe Young, Boris in Rock 'n' Roll Mom, Dr. Ernest Delbanco in Mumford, Dan Enright in Quiz Show, and Ron Ziegler in Nixon. He also directed the Freeform shows The Fosters and Switched at Birth.
