David Lawrence Schwimmer is an American actor, comedian, producer, and director, known for his distinctive nasally voice. He is best known for playing Ross Geller in the NBC sitcom Friends (1994-2004), and reprised this role in the other NBC sitcom The Single Guy. He also starred as the host of the late-night variety show Saturday Night Live and voiced Melman the giraffe in DreamWorks' Madagascar franchise.
For Disney, he portrayed John Anderson in the 1992 Touchstone Pictures film Crossing the Bridge and Frank Martin in the 1998 adventure film Six Days, Seven Nights. He also played the young Thark Warrior in the 2012 sci-fi film John Carter. He will play Anthony Brewer in Goosebumps.
