David Wayne Spade is an American actor, stand-up comedian, writer, and television personality who was best known for being a cast member on the NBC late-night sketch comedy and variety show Saturday Night Live from 1990 to 1996. Among other film roles, he is well known as the title character in the 2001 comedy Joe Dirt. He also voiced Griffin the Invisible Man in the Hotel Transylvania trilogy.
For Disney, he voiced Kuzco in the 2000 animated feature film, The Emperor's New Groove and its 2005 direct-to-video sequel, Kronk's New Groove, and played as C.J. Barnes on the ABC sitcom 8 Simple Rules from 2004 to 2005. He also played Ed Gunt in the ABC TV show The Mayor.
