Deadpool & Wolverine is an upcoming American superhero film based on the character of the same name. It serves as a sequel to Deadpool 2 and the second season of Loki. It is the thirty-fourth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the fourth film of Phase Five. It was directed by Shawn Levy and written by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, Ryan Reynolds, and Shawn Levy. It was produced by Marvel Studios, Maximum Effort and 21 Laps Entertainment and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is scheduled to be released on July 26, 2024.

In Marvel Studios' Deadpool & Wolverine, Wade Wilson is confronted by the Time Variance Authority, which pulls him from a seemingly quiet life and results in Deadpool being unleashed.[1]

On December 27, 2019, Ryan Reynolds confirmed to Variety that a third Deadpool film was in the works at Marvel Studios.[14]
On November 20, 2020, Deadline reported that a third film in the Deadpool franchise is officially in the works.[15]
On January 11, 2021, in an interview with Collider, Kevin Feige confirmed that the film will be rated-R and a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.[16]
On August 5, 2021, Reynolds suggested that filming could start as early as next year and that the film is in active development.[17]
On March 11, 2022, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Shawn Levy was set to direct the film.[18]
On March 28, 2022, it was reported that Leslie Uggams would be reprising her role as Blind Al from Deadpool and Deadpool 2.[6]
On September 27, 2022, Ryan Reynolds revealed that Hugh Jackman would be reprising his role as Wolverine. The release date was also revealed to be September 6, 2024.[19]
On October 11, 2022, it was reported that the release date was pushed back to November 8, 2024.[20]

On July 7, 2023, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Jennifer Garner would reprise her role as Elektra Natchios from 20th Century Fox's Daredevil and Elektra.[10]

On July 14, 2023, Variety reported that production of the film had been shut down due to the Hollywood labor disputes and that the film would resume production after the strikes was resolved.[28]
On November 9, 2023, Deadline reported that with the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes officially ending a day earlier on November 8, filming is scheduled to restart as early as this week or in the very near future, with the film being a top priority for Marvel Studios.[29] Later that day, The Hollywood Reporter reported that the film had been delayed to July 26, 2024, the same day the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games are set to begin.[30]

- On July 2, 2020, Morena Baccarin, who played Vanessa Carlysle in the previous two films, stated to Entertainment Weekly that she did not know how big her role would be in the third installment, but she knew that the film was already being written and was expecting being approached about it, saying that she wanted her role to be as big as possible.[33]
- This is the fourth film in the MCU to feature Marvel characters that aren't part of the MCU, the first being Spider-Man: No Way Home, followed by Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and The Marvels.

- In the trailer, when Wolverine slashes Deadpool in the chest, if you look close to the left, there's a Secret Wars comic book lying on the ground. This also could foreshadow Avengers: Secret Wars.
