Deborah Kaye "Debbie" Allen is an American actress, choreographer, dancer, television director, television producer, and a member of the President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities. She is perhaps best known for her work on the 1982 musical-drama television series Fame, where she portrayed dance teacher Lydia Grant and served as the series' principal choreographer. She is also the younger sister of actress/director/singer Phylicia Rashād.

For Disney, she performed in the television special, Disneyland's 30th Anniversary Celebration and portrayed Yvonne in Blank Check, Great Aunt Maureen in Raven's Home, and Catherine Avery in Grey's Anatomy. She also provided the voice of Myrtle in The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder.

As a director, Allen directed the television films Polly and Polly: Comin' Home!. She also directed several episodes of That's So Raven, including "Be Prepared", "The Four Aces", "Boyz 'N Commotion", "The Road to Audition", and "A Goat's Tale".
