The Defenders are a team of superheroes from Marvel Comics that appear in Avengers Assemble and in the Netflix show The Defenders.

They are the second best team of superheroes on Earth (the first being the Avengers), and they fight the villains that the Avengers are too busy to fight.

In Avengers Assemble, the roster of the team is Hawkeye, Falcon, Spider-Man, and Black Widow.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the roster of the team is Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist.
