The Deserted Island is one of the locations featured in Adventures of the Gummi Bears.
Geography[]
The island's precise location is unknown, although it is presumed to be far from Gummi Glen or any continental area.
Gusto Gummi had known about the island and set sail for it, presumably starting from his warren. Gusto intended a short stay on the island in order to paint the beach, but the following day the beach had been destroyed by a collapse into the ocean. Vigorous waterfalls surrounded the island, trapping Gusto. The island's most prominent physical feature was a volcano.
The island was uninhabited with exception of a talking toucan named Artie Deco, who became Gusto's companion, as Gusto proceeded to live on the island. The two took shelter in a furnished shipwreck at night, while Gusto further explored his artistic nature during the day, carving a gigantic dragon into the island's volcano, including a mechanism for the statue to "breathe fire" on eruption.
A brief scene showing a stone-throne with a Gummi Bear ornament suggests, that long ago the island may have been inhabited by Gummies. The island is featured in the series' season 2 finale episode "My Gummi Lies Over the Ocean", which ends with its destruction.
