Dessie Faerrell Flynn was an American secretary, who worked at The Walt Disney Studios and also provided the voice of Dale for the Chip n' Dale cartoons in the late 1940s and 1950s in shorts, like Dragon Around, Private Pluto, Toy Tinkers, and Pluto's Christmas Tree. She also provided the voice of Minnie Mouse on occasion during the late 1950s.
Flynn was born on November 24, 1895 in Texas and was a former Mack Sennett bathing beauty. In the 1930s, she went to work at the front office of the studio where she worked with various executives on different projects, such as The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. Soon enough, she found work providing voices like many other female office staff. She would go uncredited for these performances
She was married to Ellsworth H. Rumer throughout the 1920s and divorced him during the 1930s after having two children with him. She later remarried and often went under the name Dessie Miller.
Flynn died on December 18, 1990 in North Palm Springs, California.
