Dinsford is a small English village seen in the 1961 animated feature film One Hundred and One Dalmatians.
Background[]
Dinsford is one of the places where Pongo, Perdita, and their puppies come to rest during their long journey home to London and are aided there by a labrador dog whose master is a grocer. Unfortunately, Cruella De Vil, Jasper, and Horace have followed them there and are busily looking around for them.
The dogs hide in a dilapidated shed while they think of a way to elude the villains, and eventually decide to roll in soot to disguise themselves as labradors. The disguised dogs try to sneak their way past the villains and onto a truck before it pulls out for London; their cover is eventually blown (due to water from melting icicles washing away the soot). All 101 dalmatians manage to get into the moving truck in the nick of time and make their official getaway, but not without Cruella and her henchmen giving a violently dangerous chase after the truck which nearly nudges the truck off the road until their vehicles are destroyed in the chaos.
