"Disaster Play" is the second segment of the eleventh episode of the Disney Channel animated series StuGo.
Synopsis[]
A PLAY TO SAVE THE DAY! The kids put on a play to warn mutants about a disaster.
Plot[]
Dr. Lullah is trying to acquire a giant beehive from a tree. Unfortunately, she accidentally launches it into the air and it lands in the island's volcano. The mutants are blissfully unaware the danger, so Dr. Lullah interrupts the children and demands that they find a way to warn the mutants of the impending danger as she herself does not have a positive reputation among them. At Frances's suggestion, the group decides to put together a play to help warn the mutants. Merian, who initially had no interest in acting because it's another form of lying, decides to take part after reading a dirty book called How to Act, much to everyone's consternation.
Merian becomes Sara's "understudy's understudy" while the rest of the kids preform the other duties. Sara is proven to be a talented actress, but Merian is shown to be over-top, obnoxious, and terrible. The rest of the kids are unsure of what to do with Merian, but continue with their plan in the hopes that they never have to use her. Meanwhile, the mutants have apparently taken part in some kind of fight after a flamingo and mouse get into an argument over some minor matter. With the effects, stage, and dress rehearsals finished, the kids attract the attention of the mutants using fireworks and gets them to sit and listen.
The play is a nonsensical mishmash of ideas with Sara dressed as a dinosaur performing a series of set pieces. During one of the big pieces, she knocks herself out, forcing Merian to fill in with her terrible acting. Pliny wipes the dirt off her book and discovers that it is actually a book called How NOT to Act Around Chips - If You Want to Live. Additionally, the kids forgot to mention the volcano resulting in the mutants running for their lives. Luckily, they manage to avert the danger and save the mutants. Dr. Lullah gets a small sprits of hot honey for her tea and bees promptly attack the children.
