Disney's Old Key West Resort, opened on December 20, 1991, is a 761 room hotel found in the Disney Springs area of Walt Disney World that is deliberately reminiscent of the Florida Keys. As the first Disney Vacation Club location, it was originally known simply as the Disney Vacation Club Resort before the timeshare development expanded into new hotels across property resulted in a name change in 1996.
The resort is also near Epcot and Boardwalk. Special attractions of the deluxe villa resort include the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, 4 pools, a jogging trail, a fitness center, 2 arcades and plenty of shopping venues. Restaurants include three American cuisine locations including Good's Food to Go, Olivia's Café, and Turtle Shack Snack Bar.
