Inspired by hotels along the European riviera and Walt Disney's travels to the region, Disney's Riviera Resort is a tower-style hotel designed in an elegant Mediterranean style. The Riviera is notable for being the first hotel built along the new Disney Skyliner system, sharing a station with the neighboring Caribbean Beach.
A number of familiar Disney touches can be found throughout the resort in the form of newly commissioned artwork inspired by various Disney films rendered in various art styles. The pool area also takes on a Fantasia theme, with the characters of Dance of the Hours being incorporated in statue form.
