Disney's Santa Village Parade was a seasonal parade that performed at Tokyo Disneyland during their Christmas Fantasy event from 2011 to 2014. The parade takes place in Santa Village, a village where Santa Claus lives. The Disney Friends are helping prepare for Christmas with Santa Claus and his elves.
Floats[]
Opening: Led by the residents of “Santa Village”, the little fairy elves; the first float to enter the scene is the Santa Village Post Office, which receives letters from children all over the world. Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Scrooge McDuck sort through the letters from children with gift requests.
Confection Factory: The next float features the candy workshop where Marie and Clarice make Christmas sweets.
Pluto's House: Several trees lead the way to a smaller float featuring Pluto, who has created a macaroon-shaped dog house for himself.
Snowman's Playland: In the snow, Goofy tries out his skis, while Max Goof is riding upon an open sleigh.
Toy Factory:Chip and Dale are making toys which will be turned into Christmas gifts for the good boys and girls.
Wrapping Workshop: Added in 2012, this float features The Three Little Pigs wrapping presents.
Finale: The parade concludes with a float of Santa Claus's house, where he sits up top his throne, preparing Christmas presents. He appears alongside Huey, Dewey, and Louie where the Christmas atmosphere is livened up.
The soundtrack was updated twice following the parade's premiere in 2011, once in 2013, likely coinciding with the 30th anniversary festivities, and again in 2014.
The parade featured Christmas trees with a hidden door in which a cast member would emerge before the start of the show stop. This element was also seen in Disney's Halloween Street "Welcome to Spookyville", which premiered during the previous year's Halloween festivities.
