Disney Channel Mickey Mouse ID

The "Mickey Mouse" idents were a series of bumpers that were shown on The Disney Channel from 1986 to 1997. These bumpers showed Mickey Mouse doing something that ultimately results in the Disney Channel logo being displayed, such as driving, taking pictures, sorting out clothes in his closet, making things, etc. These IDs only showed Mickey's hands, never his whole body. There were two kinds of these, some in 2D animation and some using a Mickey Mouse puppet driving, getting pictures made, sorting clothes for his closet, testing his teleportation machine, etc. His face remains unseen in these; the viewer only saw his hands. Occasionally, in some of these ads, a second set of hands are seen, presumably belonging to Minnie. They were created by Colossal Pictures.

Doors		Mickey opens several doors, one by one, slowly at first, then quickly opens several at once (one of the doors' knobs resembling that from Alice in Wonderland). Finally, Mickey comes across the last door, which has the Disney Channel logo on it. Noticing that this is also a door, a garage door with a handle on it, Mickey grabs the handle and pulls the door up.
Hats		Mickey puts many hats on a silver ball inside the Disney Channel screen, including the Sorcerer Hat and Goofy's hat, until he puts on a Mickey Mouse Ears Hat. Then Mickey spray paints the hat silver to match the ball, and tilts the hat the right way to form the Disney Channel logo, which makes a shine effect.
Ink Stamp		Mickey takes out an ink stamp pad and puts a stamp on it. Then he stamps the screen with it, the stamp being the Disney Channel logo. Occasionally, Mickey is heard saying either "Stamp out boredom with The Disney Channel!" or "Mouse approved!"
Hand Prints		At what is presumed to be the Chinese Theater, Mickey, a star, shapes the Disney Channel logo in wet cement as cameras continuously flash. Then he adds his hand prints to the corners of the logo as applause is heard.
Locket		Mickey gives Minnie several gifts. First, he gives her a cupcake with a candle on it (presumably, it's her birthday). Then he gives her a bouquet of flowers. Finally, he gives her a locket which has the Disney Channel logo on it.
Magic Tricks		Mickey performs various magic tricks: he flicks his fingers over a flat disc, turning it into a magic hat, out of which he pulls a bouquet of flowers. He turns the flowers into some green balls and makes them disappear. He does another trick with cards. Finally, he pulls out an orange cloth with the Disney Channel logo on it and holds it up to the camera.
Mountain Carving		Mickey carves some stone, which causes a huge crack in the floor that runs out the door and out onto a mountainous boulder in the distance, destroying it and revealing the Disney Channel logo, carved in the stone.
Printing Press		Mickey draws a line and then a printing press that presses down on the line, moving back and forth as it does so. Then Mickey draws a hand like his own that pulls down the line, revealing that the press formed the line into the Disney Channel logo.
Shadow Puppets		Standing under a round spot of light, Mickey makes shadow puppets with his hands, including a rabbit, a duck (during which Mickey makes quacking sounds like a duck), some fancy resort, and finally the Mickey head image in the Disney Channel logo. Mickey then stretches out the spot of light to make it more rectangular, forming the Disney Channel logo proper. Sometimes, when he forms the duck, instead of quacking, Mickey will say, "Look, it's Donald!"
Toy Soldiers		Mickey winds up a toy soldier playing a trombone and sets it in a maze, It plays as it marches and there is revealed to be more soldiers (2 play the bass drum and tuba) as they march throughout the maze. The drummer soldier eventually gets stuck in a dead end and Mickey moves it to the Mickey head part of the maze, which is revealed to be the Disney Channel logo.
Upside-Down		The Disney Channel logo is displayed upside-down, but Mickey hits the table it's on with his fist so that the logo flies into the air. It then comes back down, piece by piece, right-side-up.
Water		Mickey pours some water into a square-shaped jug, revealing the Disney logo. The jug leaks a bit, however, and spills on the surface, but Mickey wipes it away.
Window		Mickey wipes fog off of a window, forming the Disney Channel logo. There were five such logos: a city, a cabin before a snowy mountain, a train, a submarine, and a space shuttle.

Ball Toss		At a carnival, Mickey walks up to a ball toss game and tries to hit the bottles with some baseballs on the counter. He misses the first two. There are two versions of this ID, each having a different outcome afterwards. The first ID shows Mickey by himself. As he tosses the third baseball at the bottle, it bounces back to hit the screen, shattering it so that the glass takes on the shape of the Disney Channel logo. In the second ID, he is accompanied presumably by Minnie. After Mickey misses the first two attempts, Minnie decides to take a turn on the third ball and succeeds in knocking the bottles down, after which she receives her prize: a stuffed dinosaur toy with the Disney Channel logo on it.
Grocery Store		Mickey is about to finish up a trip to the grocery store when he hears of an aisle open for checkout. He looks at his grocery list to notice that he still needs to get a TV dinner. He goes over to get one, which is covered in frost, then hurries back to the checkout aisle, only to be cut off by a lady in front of him who tells the cashier she has a coupon for everything she has. As he waits his turn, Mickey blows the frost off of the TV dinner, revealing the contents for the food to be in the shape of the Mickey head for the Disney Channel logo. The left ear has mixed vegetables in it, the right ear has corn, and the main head has spaghetti and meatballs.
Jigsaw Puzzle		Mickey puts together a jigsaw puzzle that forms the screen of the logo, then removes a Mickey shaped in the center, revealing the logo. Occasionally, as he finishes, Mickey can be heard saying, "The Disney Channel!"
Mickey's Film Countdown		A film countdown starts, but Mickey then stops the regular countdown and replaces it with a Mickey head in the Disney Channel logo. Then he finishes the countdown.
Mickey's Wild Ride		Mickey goes on a dark ride, which is similar to Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, in that numerous crazy things keep happening everywhere, culminating in what looks like a train coming in the opposite direction. It is actually revealed as a door with the Disney Channel logo on it, which Mickey's car goes through then. There were two versions of this ID, one with Mickey by himself and the other with him accompanied by someone else, presumably Minnie.
Mickey's Nightmare		As Mickey goes to bed one night (a thunderstorm is happening outside), he sets the alarm clock and then goes to sleep. The viewer is then treated to an extended scene of a nightmare Mickey has, showing one of Mickey's gloves being chased through a hall by a ghost that takes on the shape of the Disney Channel logo. On the walls are pictures displaying other Mickey-based Disney Channel logos, the hands of which all reach out of the pictures, laughing creepily as they try to grab at the glove, which suddenly gets swallowed by the ghostly logo. At that moment, the alarm clock is heard ringing, and Mickey is seen waking up and trying to turn it off, as the clock is shown in front of the window blinds, resembling the shape of the Disney Channel logo.
Microscope		In a laboratory, Mickey takes a sample of something and puts under a microscope. He looks through the microscope, revealing the sample to stretch out to form the Mickey head on the Disney Channel logo.
Paper		Mickey folds a yellow piece of paper, cuts some of it up, and then unfolds the paper, revealing the Disney Channel logo. Occasionally, after he finishes, Mickey says, "Don't cut any corners."
Photo Booth		Mickey tries to get his picture taken in a photo booth.
Pot Holder		Mickey goes through the mail and discovers a sweepstakes envelope, for which he has the winning token to put on the winning sheet of paper to receive a grand prize. The paper then burns up and turns into the grand prize, which happens to be a pot holder with the Disney Channel logo on it. Mickey tosses the pot holder aside.
Record Player		Mickey opens up a record player (in the shape of the Disney Channel screen, stripes and all) to test out some records. The first record plays "Old MacDonald Had a Farm", and the second plays "Tosca". Finally, Mickey puts on a third record, this one in the Mickey head shape on the logo. It plays the Disney Channel ID jingle on it, but then Mickey turns off the player and the record slows to a stop, forming the shape of the Disney Channel logo.
Teleportation		Mickey is testing his teleportation machine by transporting Mickey Mouse Ears Hat. The first few tries have the hats transported, but they have gotten messed up. During the last try, a bee flies into the teleportation device, forming a bee-Mickey Mouse ear hat hybrid, showing the Disney Channel logo on its left side. The hybrid then flies to the screen.
Time Machine		As Mickey cleans a time machine, he accidentally activates it and sends himself back in time to prehistoric times, where a group of apes are looking over a square wheel that time-traveled with Mickey. Suddenly, the Disney Channel logo rises up in the background behind them, similar to the monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Train Set		Mickey constructs a toy train set, whose tracks form the Disney Channel logo. He pushes the whistle button once afterward.
UFO		Mickey opens his back door. A trashcan floats up as he turns on his flashlight. A cat and a lawn chair also float up as he looks around. Suddenly, a pair of spotlights shine around his backyard. Mickey points his flashlight up to see a UFO. As the floating objects move towards the opening, the spotlights form Mickey ears around it as flashing horizontal lights complete the Disney Channel logo.
Wooden Blocks		Mickey tries to fit some wooden blocks into round holes that form the Mickey head in the Disney Channel logo, but he has difficulty with this. So he takes the blocks away. Offscreen, the sound of a machine is heard whirring as shavings of the wood spill onto the screen. Mickey brushes the shavings away and then fits the now-rounded blocks neatly into the logo. Occasionally, afterwards, Mickey will say, "A chip off the old block!"
Workout		Mickey works out at a gym in a fitness instructional-style montage with a female instructor's voice encouraging him. He uses several exercising machines and equipment such as an exercise bike, an elliptical machine, a weight machine, a crunch machine, a pair of dumbbells, and a barbell that eventually falls to Mickey's left and 3 of the weights crash through 1 of the horizontally-striped rectangle parts of the floor creating the Disney Channel logo (the bigger one made the head while the smaller ones formed the ears).

• The dark ride ID is called "The Brave Engineer", possibly named after the cartoon of the same name.
