Disney Explorers Lodge is a four-star hotel and the third hotel at the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort in Hong Kong. It opened in April 30, 2017.[1]
Dedicated to the spirit of exploration, it will invite guests to leave the everyday world behind and enter into a new world full of discovery, nature, and exotic cultures. The hotel features four distinct gardens based on cultures from around the globe, along with new themed restaurants, a shop, and a large outdoor swimming pool.[2]
Theme[]
The story hearkens to that grand era of exploration in the early 1920s, telling of four explorers who cooperatively built a lodge based on their adventures throughout the globe, adding their own artifacts and specimens gathered over a lifetime of travels.
The concept of exploration is meticulously brought to life throughout the hotel's guest rooms, themed gardens, three restaurants and shop, which are inspired by the explorers' travels to four regions: the African Savannah Garden, the South American Garden, the Oceania Garden, and the Asian Garden. Disney elements represented at the hotel include characters from The Jungle Book, The Lion King, Finding Nemo, and Up.
Pools and Recreation[]
The pool decks are located on the first floor (1/F).
Rain Drop Pool[]
The Explorers Lodge features a large swimming pool at the edge of the Pool Garden which is close to the promenade.
Explorers Poolside Adventure[]
Disney characters join guests for an afternoon poolside party beside the Rain Drop Pool while Cast Members lead poolside activities and other games.
Themed Gardens[]
There are four distinctly themed gardens at each end of the Explorers Lodge, each associated with the characters they are named after:
