Disney Speedstorm is a free-to-play racing video game that has been released for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows on April 18, 2023, as a pay-for-early-access game. The full game was released on September 28, 2023,[1] with a Phone and Tablet version released on July 11, 2024.
The game is set within the digital world of an old racing arcade machine that has been refreshed by a glitchy artificial intelligence named Arbee who took inspiration from their favorite Disney movies.

- The game was originally scheduled to be released in August 6, 2022, but got pushed to December 22, 2022. It would later get pushed back again to 2023 and released on April 18, 2023.
- Baloo's appearance slightly resembles his Disney Infinity 3.0 version, except it is more detailed and sports his racer outfit, which makes him much reminiscent of his TaleSpin rendition (minus the pilot cap).
- The House of Mouse from the show of the same name appears in the Toon Village racetrack, marking the first time the show has been referenced since its original run in the early 2000s.
- Out of all the available racers, Mowgli, Celia, Randall, Figment, Lilo, Jumba, Oswald, Ursula, Ralph, Vanellope, Dash, and Maui are the only ones to not have their voice actors reprise their respective roles. Meanwhile they, alongside Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Minnie, Daisy, Steamboat Pete, Maleficent, Cruella, Baloo, King Triton, Belle, Genie, Woody, Sulley, Mike, Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth Swann, Will Turner, Barbossa, Davy Jones, Frozone, Elsa, Olaf, Sam Flynn, Quorra, and Zuse are the only racers to not be voiced by their original voice actors, due to most of them being either deceased or unavailable.
- There are currently eight Disney Princesses in this racing game: Snow White, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Mulan, Rapunzel, and Moana.
- Cinderella for her racing car from an upcoming update is coming soon.
- Snow White and Aurora made their debut during Walt Disney's lifetime, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, and Mulan made their debut during the Renaissance era, and Rapunzel and Moana made their debut during the Revival era.
- There are currently sixteen playable Disney Villains in this racing game: Randall, Steamboat Pete, Captain Gantu, Jafar, Hades, Gaston, Hans, Ursula, King Candy, Hector Barbossa, Davy Jones, Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, Oogie Boogie, Rinzler and The Evil Queen.
- Randall is the only playable Pixar Villain in the game.
- Shere Khan, Kaa, Henry J. Waternoose III, AUTO, Jangles the Clown, Evelyn Deavor, and Tamatoa also appear in the game as Crew Members.
- To date, the Disney Parks, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, WALL-E, The Muppets, 101 Dalmatians, Sleeping Beauty, Tangled, Moana, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs are the only franchises represented in the game to each have playable characters (Figment, Oswald, Ortensia, WALL-E, EVE, Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, Aurora, Rapunzel, Maui, Moana, Snow White, and The Evil Queen), but not a playable race course. Similarly, Disney Speedstorm itself is currently the only franchise represented to have a playable racecourse (Arbee's Arena), but not a playable character.
- Arbee is similar to The Inventor from Disney Heroes: Battle Mode. Both created the game in-universe and caused Disney characters to appear in their games; however, Arbee only created copies of Disney characters while The Inventor teleported original Disney characters from their universes to The City to save it.
- Fix-It Felix Jr., King Candy, Anger, Disgust, Ennui, Tia Dalma, Dr. Finkelstein, and Rinzler are the only racers to not have voice roles.
- Of them, Rinzler is the only one who was previously mute to begin with.
- There are several seasons and character releases/reveals tied to anniversaries and/or special events:
- Hercules and Megara were revealed in 2022, the year of the 25th anniversary of the former's eponymous film.
- The Lilo & Stitch-themed season "Ohana" began during the 20th anniversary of both Stitch! The Movie and Lilo & Stitch: The Series.
- Steamboat Mickey and Steamboat Pete were added in 2023, the year of the 95th anniversary of Steamboat Willie.
- Minnie was also added in 2023, the year of the 95th anniversary of her debut in the aforementioned short.
- The Frozen-themed season "Let It Go" began during the 10th anniversary of the film.
- The Little Mermaid-themed season "Under the Sea" began during 2024, the year of the 35th anniversary of the film.
- WALL-E and Eve were revealed in 2023, the year of the 15th anniversary of their eponymous film.
- The Inside Out-themed season "Journey of Emotions" began on June 13th, 2024 to coincide with the release of the sequel.
- Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy were revealed in 2024, the year when the Jim Henson Idea Man documentary released, as well as 20 years since Disney bought The Muppets.
- Maleficent was added in 2024, the year of the 65th anniversary of Sleeping Beauty.
- The Incredibles-themed Season "Save the World" began on December 12th, 2024, the year of the 20th anniversary of the first film.
- Maui and Moana being added in 2024 is the same year as Moana 2 which was released on November 27th.
- The Tron -themed Season "On the Grid" began on March 6th, 2025, the same year Tron: Ares releases.
- Snow White and The Evil Queen were revealed in 2025, the year when the Snow White film releases.
- The Big Hero 6-themed season "Microbot Mayhem" began on May 8th, 2025, the year of the 10th anniversary of the film.
- Not counting Mickey Mouse and Friends and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, 101 Dalmatians, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs are the only Disney franchises in the game to have their origins during Walt Disney's lifetime (One Hundred and One Dalmatians was first released in 1961, Sleeping Beauty in 1959, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937).
- This was Ken Page's final performance as the voice of Oogie Boogie before he passed away, over a week before the "Trick or Treat" season launched.
- Mickey Mouse and Friends, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, and Walt Disney World are the only collections that uses the same unlock theme.
- Angel is the currently the only playable character that was made for Disney Television Animation. Big Hero 6 has also been confirmed to be the 2nd franchise to use content made for Disney Television Animation.[2]
