The Disneyland Hotel is a hotel at Disneyland Paris, which is marketed as its most prestigious and priced accordingly. With its clapboard and trim styled in a palette of cream and pink, octagonal and Mansard roofs with dormers, a Mickey Mouse clock tower, wraparound porches and gold leaf finishes, it is designed to loosely recreate opulent Victorian hotels which emerged in the United States around the end of the 19th and turn of the 20th century, mainly its Queen Anne and Second Empire varieties.

The hotel is located directly above the entrance of the Disneyland Park and thus provides many rooms and public areas with a view of the park. Its ground floor contains the park's 42 ticket booths and turnstiles as well as private lifts which provide entry to guests of the Castle Club; the central block of the hotel that houses its most expensive rooms and suites.

History[]

The Disneyland Hotel was co-designed by Walt Disney Imagineering, by which all of Disney's theme parks have been developed. Particularly it was the team that designed the park's Main Street, U.S.A. that was assigned to the job of creating a hotel that would be harmonious with its surroundings, as it was deemed an integral part of the park. Imagineering cooperated with U.S.-based architecture firm Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo on the project.

The hotel opened with the Euro Disney Resort on April 12, 1992.

A refurbishment of the hotel was announced in April 2021 to theme the hotel more heavily around the Disney Princess franchise. The hotel is due to reopen in January 2024.

Guests in these rooms now enjoy a personalised welcome with a private reception and concierge desk, and access to a lounge serving a delicious breakfast buffet, afternoon tea and hot and soft drinks, providing brilliant views across Fantasia Gardens.

Castle Club[]

The Castle Club is the highest tier of regular rooms available at the hotel; guests not only enjoy their own private reception and concierge, but also access to a larger lounge on the hotel's higher levels serving breakfast, afternoon tea and drinks, and providing magnificent views of Disneyland Park. Guests can also access an elevator taking them directly to the entrance gates to Disneyland Park on the ground floor.
