He is not to be confused with Gene the Genie from DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp.

The Djinni is a genie from the DuckTales episode "Master of the Djinni". He is shown to be amoral, even getting his master into all sorts of trouble simply to amuse himself, which eventually resulted in both Scrooge and Flintheart calling temporary truce to stop Djinni and seal up his lamp.

The character's most likely equivalent from the 2017 reboot series is Faris D'jinn, who is both a descendant of a Djinn, and that show's Dijon. He is given a strong sense of honor and positive values, as well as a clear redesign; he is noticeably thinner and wearing long elaborate, dark robes.
