Role in the film
Dobbs is a greedy bully who likes to steal lunch money from other kids with Max Keeble always being his main target. Allegedly, he was formerly a millionaire via stock markets, but lost it all sometime later, which acted as motivation for his stealing money from students. Later, Max stole his handheld computer advice and gave it to the Evil Ice Cream man while he left the Ice Cream's metal coil on Dobbs' porch while he received an email about his device. Dobbs' went to dump yard where he meet up with the Evil Ice Cream Man and demanded each other to give their own devices back. The two each destroyed the devices of the other and got into a fight with Max picking up the Ice Cream truck with a giant claw vehicle and dumped gallons of melted ice cream all over them. When Max apparently moved out, he then attempted to do massive extortions on the other students as settlement for not being able to target Max directly. After Max makes clear he hasn't moved, he, wanting revenge after realizing that Max (with strong courage) has not moved to Chicago, Dobbs partnered with Troy McGinty and they fought him in the school parking lot. However, the kids finally got back at them and threw the two in the dumpster.
- When Max is planning his striking back against the bullies, a flashback shows Megan telling Dobbs in a slightly sarcastic manner "I keep my money in a piggy bank, it looks like you", with Dobbs then flashing a smile. This was taken from a deleted scene in the movie, where Dobbs attempts to extort Megan of her money near her locker, only for her to sarcastically refuse, resulting in Dobbs stealing her clarinet as "compensation."
- His leitmotif is If Everybody Looked the Same.
