Dolly Rebecca Parton is an American actress, singer-songwriter, musician, record producer, philanthropist, and businesswoman, who is known primarily for her work in country music.

For Disney, her song "9 to 5" appeared in the compilation TV special Down and Out with Donald Duck, as part of a montage of scenes featuring Donald Duck working different odd jobs. The song was also used in the end credits of the Gravity Falls episode "Summerween". She also acted in films, such as Shirlee Kenyon in Straight Talk, Edith McKlusky in Frank McKlusky, C.I., Dolly Gnome in Gnomeo & Juliet, and Aunt Dolly in the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana (the last two characters being parodies of herself).

Born in a one-room cabin in Tennessee, Parton began performing as a child before moving to Nashville after graduating high school. There, she became regular performer on The Porter Wagoner Show. Her debut album, Hello, I'm Dolly, spawned hits, including "Dumb Blonde" and "Something Fishy". She soon made a number of hit records over the decades, such as "Just Because I'm a Woman", "Coat of Many Colors", "Joshua", "Jolene", "Here You Come Again", "Real Love", "Islands in the Stream", and "I Will Always Love You", which was made more famous by R&B singer Whitney Houston.

Her acting career began in 1980 with 9 to 5, which co-stared Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda. She received nominations for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy and a Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year – Actress, as well as nominations for the title song at both the Academy Awards and Golden Globes. Her other film credits include The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Rhinestone, Steel Magnolias, A Smoky Mountain Christmas, Wild Texas Wind, Unlikely Angel, The Beverly Hillbillies, and Joyful Noise.

She also guest-starred in television shows, such as Alvin and the Chipmunks, Designing Women, Bette, and Reba.
