"Don't Touch That Dial" is the second episode of the Disney+ streaming television miniseries WandaVision and was released on January 15, 2021, alongside the first episode.
Synopsis[]
In order to fit in, Wanda and Vision perform a magic act in their community talent show.
Plot[]
In a shift to the 1960s, Wanda and Vision are awoken by a strange clattering noise outside their window. Vision does not see anything and returns to bed with Wanda using her powers to make their separate beds one. The next day, the two of them prepare for a magic act for the neighborhood talent show. Wanting it to be "authentic", they opt to make the tricks obviously fake. Vision decides to head to the Neighborhood Watch meeting with the rest of the men. As he leaves, Wanda heads outside and sees a toy helicopter that is in color, but gets distracted by Agnes who invites her to a women's gathering.
Vision arrives at the meeting and after an awkward attempt to mingle, gets accepted and is given a stick of gum that he accidentally swallows. Wanda heads to the gathering and is introduced to Dottie Jones, the snooty leader who wants the talent show to be perfect. She also meets Geraldine, who seemed reluctant to say her name, and quickly befriends her. While talking to Dottie, the radio begins playing a transmission to Wanda calling out to her. She shatters a bottle in Dottie's hand which bleeds in color, but she seemingly ignores this and the sitcom format resumes like normal.
The commercial break this time is to promote Strücker brand watches, which bare the Hydra logo.
The time for the talent show begins with many people putting on their act. Vision arrives, but appears intoxicated due to the gum sticking up his gears. He and Wanda head out and perform their magic tricks. As Vision uses his powers, Wanda uses her magic to make it look like it is all fake, eventually culminating in using Geraldine who is confused by how she became part of the act. Wanda removes the gum from Vision's gears and they try to leave, but Dottie announces that their act was the best and they win the first place trophy, much to their astonishment.
Wanda and Vision return home. As they ponder the nature of children, Wanda reveals that she is pregnant; now sporting an obvious belly. They hear the noise again and head outside to investigate. The sitcom format subsides and the two see a beekeeper emerging from the sewers. Disturbed, Wanda utters "No" and suddenly rewinds time to when she made her pregnancy announcement. Wanda and Vision embrace and suddenly the world around them springs into color as the aesthetic is now the 1970s.

- Zac Henry, who portrayed the Beekeeper, has also appeared in other Marvel Cinematic Universe projects. He appeared in the uncredited role of TAC Team Agent #1, in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode "Turn, Turn, Turn", and also worked in stunts for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as Runaways, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Avengers: Infinity War, Black Panther, Captain America: Civil War, and Thor.
- The opening and the animation sequences are being provided by Titmouse, Inc. who made this their first time since Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.
- The shot of Wanda and Vision flying through the sky then making the name of the title appear is a parody of the opening of 60s sitcom Bewitched when the main character, Samantha Stevens does that.
- The title is an exclamation that means to stay put and not do anything. It was typically said whenever a show would cut to commercial; usually along the lines of "Don't touch that dial! [Sitcom title] will be right back!"
