Don Pedro Colley was an American actor, voice actor, director, and producer. For Disney, he played Barnstoff in Herbie Rides Again, Morumba in The World's Greatest Athlete, and SRT in THX 1138.
Colley was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon, to Muriel and Pete Colley. He attended Klamath Union High School and actively played American football and track & field, which led to an unsuccessful try-out for the 1960 Summer Olympics. He later attended the University of Oregon and studied architecture. Later, he became a theatre member and spent five years learning his craft in various productions in San Francisco, California.
He began appearing in television shows, such as Daniel Boone, The Wild Wild West, The Bill Cosby Show, The Virginian, Adam-12, Here Come the Brides, Little House on the Prairie, Starsky and Hutch, Space Academy, Ironside, Night Gallery, Fantasy Island, The Streets of San Francisco, What's Happening Now!, and played Sheriff Little in the 1980s TV series The Dukes of Hazzard. In film, Colley is known for the roles of Ongaro in Beneath the Planet of the Apes and Joshua in The Legend of N***r Charley. His other film credits included Black Caesar, This Is a Hijack, Sugar Hill, and The Blue Iguana.
He passed away from cancer on October 11, 2017.
