Donald's Halloween Scare is a cartoon made by Walt Disney Television Animation. It was released in March 4, 2000, and was also used in Mickey's House of Villains and the House of Mouse episode "Halloween With Hades".
Plot[]
It's Halloween, and Huey, Dewey, and Louie are going trick-or-treating. They receive treats from Mickey, Minnie and Goofy (the latter thinking it was Easter and giving them eggs while dressed as a bunny). They visit Donald's house, but Donald disguises himself as a scary man with a hook and a hockey mask reminiscent to that of Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th and scares the boys away. The boys run away in fear and terror and hide behind a tree. Donald takes the candy that the children left behind as well.
Huey, Dewey, and Louie discover Donald's trick and plan to get back at him. They sneak into the house and put glue on Donald's disguise. When Donald hears someone knocking at the door, he puts his costume back on, hoping to receive more candy. However, Chief O'Hara is there with a wanted poster of a person dressed in Donald's costume asking if he has seen this man since "three young ducks have gone a-missing'". Donald runs away, unaware that Chief O'Hara was really Huey, Dewey and Louie stacked up and disguised in a raincoat and rubber mask. But Mickey, Minnie and Goofy chase after him, believing that he's really the culprit. Eventually, Donald ends up in a graveyard in front of three tombstones with his nephews' names on them. Huey, Dewey, and Louie disguise themselves as zombies and say that their uncle scared them to death causing a chase to happen.
Donald promises to get their candy back and the boys dress him up in a costume of their own and make him trick-or-treat with them. All four of them run away terrified at the next person they see, who appears to be a shadowy figure with a hook for a hand but is actually Goofy, dressed as Santa Claus, prepared to give the candy canes.

- The music that's featured is In the Hall of the Mountain King.
- This episode is similar to Trick or Treat.
- This was the second time were Huey wears his red devil costume, while Dewey and Louie were also dressed in similar devil costumes too.
- Mickey wears the same vampire costume and Donald wears the same devil costume (but in Red) in Mickey's House of Villains and the House of Mouse episode "House Ghosts".
- On Donald's TV, he is shown watching Mickey Mouse Works.
- Figaro from Pinocchio makes a brief cameo at the beginning as the first thing scooped out of Minnie's witch brew before Minnie gives Huey, Dewey and Louie a large ladleful of candy.
- Goofy keeps getting the special occasions wrong despite being Halloween. First, he thinks it is Easter and gives both Huey, Dewey and Louie eggs while dressed as a bunny. Later by the ending, Goofy, dressed as Santa Claus, prepared to give the candy canes, thinking it is Christmas.
- Despite the cartoon being a Halloween special, it was not released around Halloween during it's original run in March 4, 2000 and it's first rerun on September 9, 2000. Although, for reruns of the cartoon, it aired during the Halloween season, every year.

This cartoon was first shown as part of the March 4, 2000 episode of Mickey Mouse Works on ABC. The cartoon was later seen in the September 9, 2000 episode. It was later featured in the "Halloween with Hades" episode of House of Mouse and was also part of the direct-to-video special Mickey's House of Villains. The music by Stephen James Taylor was nominated for an Annie Award in 2000.
