Donald's Lucky Day is a 1939 Donald Duck cartoon released by Walt Disney Productions on January 13, 1939.
Synopsis[]
It's Friday the 13th, and Donald has to avoid any number of bad luck omens in order to deliver an ominously ticking package.
Plot[]
On Friday the 13th at a darkened harbor, Pete and Scuttle in their based have finished prepping a bomb disguised as a gift intending to send it to a rival gang named Scarpuss at 1313 13th Street. Pete had just send for the delivery boy Donald Duck to deliver the package who's unaware of its contents. On his way to the destination, Donald listens to the radio on his bike about Friday the 13th and the things to do in order to avoid getting bad luck (ex. not breaking a mirror, going under a ladder or letting a black cat cross his path). Donald narrowly avoids going under a ladder but he ends up crashing through a mirror and crashes into a crate of apples wrecking his bike, deciding to walk the rest of the way. At the corner stone of 13th Street and 13th Avenue, Donald encounters a black cat who he desperately tries to prevent from crossing his path. When the cat ends up sitting on the package, Donald uses a toy mouse to distract the cat and continues on his way. However the cat who's still chasing the mouse ends up following Donald eventually ending at a pier. Eventually Donald and the package end up on a narrow board with only the cat preventing them from falling. He eventually escapes where the package unravels revealing the bomb which falls down into the water and explodes raining tons of fish onto Donald. Seeing the fish pile, Donald announces this is his lucky day, only for a huge group of black cats to swarm him and eat all the fish leaving a pile of fish bones making Donald laugh.
