Donald's Quacky Duck City (ドナルドのクワッキー・ダックシティ) is a seasonal event held at Tokyo Disneyland during the 2024 Pal-Palooza celebrations. Following the first installment featuring Minnie Mouse, the second event "Donald's Quacky Duck City" stars Donald Duck. This event was part of a special list of merchandise and collaborations in honor of Donald Duck's 90th birthday celebration that year.
Donald's Quacky Duck City was at Tokyo Disneyland Park from April 9, until June 26, 2024. The event featured Donald-centric décor, food, entertainment, and even nearby hotel rooms, plus the Tokyo debut of a classic Disney character.
Guests can enter the extraordinary world of "Duck City," Donald's ideal world where he reigns as the ultimate superstar. With this event guests can enjoy the world of Donald's imagination as the Park undergoes a transformation, tailored to fulfill Donald's wildest dreams.[1] During this special event, the new entertainment program "Quacky Celebration ★ Donald the Legend!" will make its debut. Various Disney friends will gather in "Duck City" to celebrate their beloved superstar Donald and his many talents, from being a movie star, chef and more. Guests can enjoy the festive extravaganza filled with boundless excitement alongside the exuberant Donald.
Synopsis[]
Disney friends, dressed in Donald's iconic blue, white, and yellow, representing their deep admiration for Donald, will come together to celebrate Donald and his many talents that include being a movie star, chef, and more. As they join forces to honor Donald, he initially feels bewildered, but gradually becomes overjoyed with happiness. His friends continue to praise him, creating a festive atmosphere of excitement and celebration.[2]
Decorations[3][]
The Mickey Flower Bed at the entrance of the Park was transformed into a Donald-themed version, while a monument honoring Donald's superstar status will be placed at the heart of World Bazaar. Throughout the Park, "Duck City" decorations was adorn various areas, creating a captivating ambiance that transported guests into Donald's ideal world so wherever guests look, they would encounter unique "Duck City"-inspired decorations that add a playful and distinctive touch to the surroundings.
Merchandise[4][]
To add to the enchantment, Tokyo Disney Resort made new merchandise to be available during Donald's Quacky Duck City.[5] From April 8, unique merchandise such as headbands and other items inspired by Donald's imaginative world of "Duck City" were available. One notable item guests could enjoy is the colorful "Quack-Quack Stick" adorned with adorable ducks, which produces a distinctive "quackquack" sound when shaken. Guests could use these during the entertainment program "Quacky Celebration ★ Donald the Legend!" and join in on the excitement with beloved Disney friends. As part of the project, guests would have the opportunity to vote for their favorite concept sketches that were created for this campaign, and the most popular design will be available as merchandise. Some of the items available include themed candies.[6]
Special Menus[7][]
Guests could be able to indulge in special menu items from April 1 that bring to life the wacky world of "Donald's Quacky Duck City." At the specially decorated Plaza Pavilion Restaurant, guests were able to enjoy a set meal featuring pasta and dessert, inspired by Chef Donald himself, adorned with his signature colors and motifs. The set includes a combination of fettuccine carbonara with beef sauce, topped with a unique blue-colored cheese that captures Donald's essence. To add a playful touch, the dish is garnished with egg, resembling Donald's feet and tail. For a delightful finale, guests can savor a cheesecake mousse dessert adorned with Donald-shaped chocolates and filled with a refreshing pineapple jam. To complement the experience, a sparkling jelly drink, with an exclusive souvenir coaster, would also be available.
Meanwhile, at Ice Cream Cones, guests could be delighted in a visually captivating Special Sundae. This whimsical treat features blue jelly, diced mango, and a dollop of whipped cream cheese, all served atop the sundae. Adding a charming touch, red raspberry granules resembling Donald's bowtie are playfully sprinkled, and the sundae is presented to resemble Donald's tail.
Entertainment[8][9][]
A parade, entitled "Quacky Celebration ★ Donald the Legend," played through Tokyo Disneyland once or twice daily throughout the Donald's Quacky Duck City event.
Not only will Donald star in his very own parade, but his pals joining in on the celebration will be dressed in new outfits emulating the duck's signature style. The parade will also feature the Tokyo Disney Resort debut of Pete, the longtime adversary (and occasional ally) to Mickey and pals.

Upcoming Revamp[10][]
On November 21, 2024[11] Tokyo Disneyland announced that Donald's Quacky Duck City would return in 2025 after Vanellope's Sweet Pop World. This brand new revival of the event has been claimed to be an "enhanced" version[12] of the event and has been renamed to Donald's Quacky Duck! Duck! Duck City![13] Following Donald Duck's popular appearance in the second event, he is back with an enhanced version of his dream city. Guests can look forward to an exciting and fun-filled experience, with the park transforming into a city where Donald is the ultimate superstar. In this fourth installment, Donald Duck returns as the main character after starring in the second event, Donald's Quacky Duck City. Donald is so eager to achieve his dream of becoming the King of Superstars which is something he cannot give up on,[14] so he returns to his ideal city of "Duck City." Surrounded by "Quacky Ducks," the fans that he created in his dreams, Duck City will be bustling with festivities.[15]
Decoration (revamped)[16][]
During Donald's Quacky Duck! Duck! Duck City!, Tokyo Disneyland will be filled with decorations dedicated to everyone's favourite grumpy Duck. Upon entering the park, guests will be greeted by a Donald Duck version of the iconic flower bed at the Park's entrance, and a grand Donald marquee. At the entrance of the World Bazaar, guests can take photos with friends at the Donald monument in the centre. Like other Disney Palpalooza events, this photo spot is expected to be a popular attraction as visitors gather to capture the perfect shot to commemorate their visit to Duck City.[17] Furthermore, the Plaza in front of Cinderella Castle will feature decorations themed to the event and the entire park will be filled with "Quacky Ducks," transforming the park into a whimsical and exciting world.[15]
Merchandise[]
Starting from April 7, special merchandise inspired by Donald's Duck! Duck! Duck City! will be available. Collectible items featuring Donald as the King of Superstars and many "Quacky Ducks" will be offered, including clear folder sets and other collectables, along with wearable items that will allow guests to enjoy dressing up for the event. Additionally, the "Quack-Quack Stick," which makes a "quack-quack" sound when shaken will be available again this year with new designs, along with accessories to decorate the Quack-Quack Stick.[15]
Special Menus[]
Guests can indulge in special menu items from April 1 that bring to life the wacky world of Donald's Quacky Duck! Duck! Duck City! At Plaza Pavilion Restaurant, specially decorated with many "Quacky Ducks," guests can enjoy a special drink featuring popping chocolates, infused with pineapple and orange aromas and topped with a Quacky Duck-shaped marshmallow. With this drink, guests will also receive one of three exclusive coasters selected at random. The Donald-themed hot dog, representing his iconic yellow color, balances the flavors of spicy keema curry and mayonnaise for a satisfying menu option.[15]
Entertainment (revamped)[18][19][]
The "Quacky Celebration ★ Donald the Legend!" parade returns with a few changes: the parade will be even livelier with the addition of "Quacky Ducks" on the parade floats. Pete, who made his debut at Tokyo Disney Resort in the parade last year, will now take on the role of celebration leader. Leading the way, Pete will guide Donald's float as it arrives at the Castle Forecourt, where the praise for Donald will reach its peak, and everyone will celebrate the King of Superstars.
Donald's Birthday Celebration[20][21][]
On March 28, 2025 Tokyo Disney revealed that from May 29th to June 9th (Donald's Birthday) Tokyo Disneyland will have a celebration for Donald Duck's 91st birthday. Including a special "Donald's Birthday Greetings" that will perform once a day and involves Donald and his friends in a town car with Daisy Duck, Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, special birthday decorations for his boat in ToonTown, a bunch of Donald birthday themed merch (including a plushie of him and 2 exclusive plushies of Panchito and Jose), and a slice of cake with a chocolate Donald chip on top.
Trivia[]
- This is the second Donald Duck themed event at Tokyo Disneyland since Donald's Wacky Kingdom. Not counting events like Donald's Super Splash because they had summer and water themes and not the character himself.
- The song used for the Birthday Greeting is "The one, the only Donald Duck!" from the original version of the parade that was later cut out of the 2025 parade.[22][23]
