The Dora Milaje have jurisdiction wherever the Dora Milaje find themselves to be.
Ayo to John Walker[src]

The Dora Milaje are the personal bodyguards of T'Challa, the security to the royal family and the protectors of Wakanda, acting as the country's version of the U.S.A.'s S.H.I.E.L.D. They are an elite squad of women who protect T'Challa and Wakanda with electric bow-staffs and advance body armor. They are skilled in many different martial arts, and they are skilled in espionage and strategy.

Appearances

Marvel Cinematic Universe

Captain America: Civil War

While the group itself does not appear, one of its members, Ayo, accompanied T'Challa during his trip to Germany.

Black Panther

The Dora Milaje, primarily Okoye, appear throughout the film. They stand as T'Challa's representative warriors during T'Challa's right of passage against M'Baku's forces. During the arrival of Erik Killmonger, T'Challa is presumably killed and Killmonger begins his takeover of Wakanda; the Dora Milaje reluctantly aligned themselves to their new king out of duty. But when T'Challa turns up alive, the Dora Milaje turn against Killmonger and return to T'Challa's side.

During the battle, Okoye and three other Dora Milaje fight valiantly against Killmonger (who was equipped with his own Jaguar Habit suit), but lose one of their members to the tyrant. The battle briefly turns to their favor with the assistance of Nakia and Shuri until Killmonger comes close to harming the latter. T'Challa intervenes and engages in a personal fight against Killmonger, allowing the Dora Milaje to focus their efforts on the rest of the battle. When the battle is won, the Dora Milaje resume their roles as Wakanda's royal protectors under the vision of T'Challa.

Avengers: Infinity War

The Dora Milaje join the rest of the heroes in Wakanda as they fight the army of Outriders to prevent Thanos from getting his hands on the Mind Stone. They fail, and they watch in helpless horror as half the population of Wakanda (and the rest of the universe) is erased with a snap of Thanos' fingers. Among the victims of this genocide is none other than T'Challa himself.

Avengers: Endgame

The Dora Milaje maintain order and peace in Wakanda after the apocalyptic effects of the Snap ravage Wakanda. Later, Okoye joins the Avengers in the final battle against Thanos.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier

Ayo, Nomble, and Yama appear in the fourth episode, on the hunt for Zemo, after learning he's escaped prison. Ayo demands Bucky to turn him over to them, but then she gives Bucky eight hours to do what he has to do with Zemo's help. Later, they appear before Bucky, Sam, Zemo, John Walker, and Lemar stating that the eight hours are over. When Walker tries to talk with them, presenting himself as the new Captain America, the Dora Milaje fight him and his partner Battlestar. Bucky and Sam also join the fight but the Dora Milaje are able to defeat all of them. Afterwards, they realize that Zemo escaped while the confrontation was happening, so they leave.

In the fifth episode, the Dora Milaje reappear before Zemo and Bucky at the memorial of Sokovia. They take custody of Zemo that went to see the memorial after sneaking out in the previous episode and he accepts to be taken away by the warriors, so they send him to be imprisoned in an underwater prison, the Raft, for the rest of his life. Just as the Dora Milaje are leaving with Zemo, Bucky asks a favor to Ayo.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

At the start of the film, the Dora attend the funeral of T'Challa in May of 2024 and continue to assist Ramonda throughout the year onto the next as she resumes her duties as queen following T'Challa's death. In 2025, the Dora goes to the meeting of the United Nations with Ramonda and they come to learn of the oncoming threat by Namor, the underwater god and his allies. When Shuri is kidnapped by Namor, Okoye is fired as the general of the Dora and they continue to do their duties while Okoye leaves Wakanda. The Dora Milaje help the civilians of Wakanda when the kingdom is under attack from Namor and take part in the fight to save Wakanda from being flooded, which results in Ramonda's death. When Shuri becomes the Black Panther, she asks the Dora and the allies of Wakanda to help defeat Namor, until she decides to spear her enemy's life.

Marvel Animated Universe

Avengers Assemble

The Dora Milaje appeared in the episode "Rage of the Panther". They hid in the palace court out of site of the Avengers and ambush them. They fought mercilessly without relent of the tough team. Hawkeye even to the point of trying to hook up with one of the ladies, Aneka. Aneka was one of the three Dora Milaje to accompany the Avengers to take on Ulysses Klaw at his Himalayan base.
