"Double Double Halloween Trouble" is the first segment of the fifty-fifth episode of Vampirina. It is the first half of the fifth episode of the third season. It premiered on October 9, 2020.
Synopsis[]
The Hauntleys must decide whether to Trick or Treat in Pennsylvania or attend the Boneyard Banquet that only happens every 100 years in Transylvania.
Plot[]
Vampirina, Poppy, Bridget, and Edgar are preparing to go trick-or-treating. Poppy (who is dressed as an astronaut) tells Vampirina that she's happy that the vampire is going with them, Vampirina says that she's too and that she prepared a costume, something that even scares her. Vampirina goes to get her costume and Edgar (who is dressed as an alien robot) wonders what will scare a vampire, which makes Bridget (who is dressed as a witch) freak out, then Vampirina arrives and shows them that she is dressed as a pink bunny. Poppy and Bridget are touched by Vampirina's costume and Edgar says that he expected something more terrifying, Vampirina explains that pink bunnies scare monsters a lot, Demi and Gregoria arrive and they get scared to see Vampirina dressed as a bunny. The doorbell rings and Vampirina discovers it's a message telling everyone to come to the Boneyard Banquet that night. Gregoria mentions that it is a party thrown by Nanpire every 100 years, and Demi mentions the activities. Vampirina goes to ask Oxana and Boris and they have split decisions on what they should do. So, Vampirina decides to ask the rest of the family.
They also have split decisions, and Oxana decides for them to split up. Oxana will go the Boneyard Banquet while Boris will go trick-or-treating and it's all up to Vampirina to make the decision. She can't choose between the choices and all Demi has is Transylvanian travel powder, which Vampirina can use to poof back and forth between Transylvania and Pennsylvania, so she'll get to enjoy both Halloween celebrations.
Later, Vampirina and Boris greet the first guests, and Edna is told by Boris on what happened to Oxana. Vampirina then shows up along with Oxana, Demi, and Gregoria for the Boneyard Banquet before heading out with Boris while Demi brings her room to Nanpire. Vampirina then goes trick-or-treating with her friends, and Demi shows up, stating that Nanpire is doing the once-a-century banquet portrait. Vampirina then goes to the Boneyard Banquet while Demi covers for her.
Once at the banquet, Vampirina shows up for the portrait, which Nanpire hangs along with the others. She and Nanpire give Vampirina a hug, and Oxana tells Nanpire what happened regarding Boris, to which she understands. The Transylvanian foods are set up, and Vampirina likes them. Demi shows up, after being told by Boris that Vampirina lost her bunny tail. She then returns to trick-or-treating at the house with the big candy bars while mentioning how great it is to have a double Halloween.
Later, the scare parade is about to start, and Demi will cover for Vampirina, who forgets to change out of her costume. The Hauntleys arrive, and Demi hesitates to tell where Vampirina is. Edgar sees the Transylvanian travel powder, and he accidentally transports them to the Boneyard Banquet. When they arrive, they want to know what's going on, and Vampirina tells them the truth about doing double Halloween. She didn't know how to choose between Pennsylvanian and Transylvanian when she's 100% of both. Oxana and Boris understand, and they mention that both places are what makes Vampirina herself. Poppy, Bridget, and Demi also give examples, and Vampirina concludes that lots of monsters and humans are two things at once, and the Hauntleys celebrate Halloween together by going trick-or-treating in Pennsylvania and returning to Transylvania for the Boneyard Banquet dance. Vampirina thanks Oxana and Boris for understanding, and it turns out that she taught them an important lesson about two Halloweens being better than one.
