Dove Tales is a two-part story arc that made up the seventh and eighth issues of the Marvel Comics serial for Beauty and the Beast.
Synopsis[]
Part 1: Belle and Chip are caught in a snowstorm! Between the swirling wind and the pounding snow, they can no longer find their way back to the castle. Meanwhile, in the safety of the village bookstore, Gaston devises a new plan to convince Belle that he is the man for her!

- Although the Bimbettes have come up with schemes to ensure Gaston stopped focusing on Belle in past issues, their appearance in the flashback of part two is the only instance where their plan directly involved Belle's presence, as they had altered the direction to have her and Maurice go the wrong way.
- The flashback story in both parts provided a plot hole, as despite Belle and Maurice winning the fair with their egg collector, and Maurice explicitly stating in Part 1 that winning the fair would guarantee their being able to pursue a better life than that of the village, Belle and Maurice still stayed at the village afterwards.
- Part 1 is the last issue that the Village has a direct on-screen appearance for the remainder of the run (not counting flashbacks), and part 2 is the last issue to feature the triplets trying to sabotage Gaston's chances at Belle.
- At one point, while Chip was trying to find someone to play with him in the snow, Lumiere is seen being "masseused" by two feather duster maids while flirting with them. This may have been an attempt at fixing some confusion regarding the name of his on-off-again girlfriend.
