Dr. Meescham is a supporting character in the 2021 Disney+ original film Flora & Ulysses.
Background[]
Meechsham is a friendly doctor who lives at the Blixen Arms Apartment. She is shown to provide integrity to anyone whom she meets at her office, most often when it comes to George Buckman who meets her at the apartment where he lives. When it comes to checking animals and their conditions, she uses her opinion to verify if an animal has rabies or not such as the case of Ulysses which she thinks that Ulysses has no rabies, despite his reputation. She is also shown to be an ally to other characters in certain occasions like when George tries to avoid Miller who is searching for Ulysses.
Role in the film[]
When George takes his daughter Flora to the Blixen Arms Apartment, he approaches Dr. Meescham who happily sees them. As she check on Ulysses, she comments that Ulysses is doing well according to her opinion where she is curious of what unique things he can do, which she observes Ulysses' unique "poetry" talents, which she notices his talents.
George later returns to Dr. Meescham at his apartment where he approaches her and warns her that Miller is urging him to hand over the squirrel, which Meescham replies that she skipped bowling for tonight, offering him to have a private conversation with her. Meescham recaps that when she met the other Dr. Meescham, her country was at war and each day was uncertain just as she shares her story about the importance of having a moment for the person that needs him the most (in this case Phyllis, his wife).
Furthermore, Meescham helps the Buckmans and William find their way into the Miruna County Animal Control. She recaps that she never drew the other Dr. Meescham's car after her license was revoked just before the heroes enter the facility. At the end of the film after the Buckmans and William rescue Ulysses, Meescham approaches where she allows them to ride in the car which she used to bring to the animal control. Phyllis asks her if she is going, which she replies to her that this is not part of her adventure.
