Drop is an animated short film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios that was released as a Disney+ exclusive on January 24, 2020.
Synopsis[]
A newly-formed raindrop falls to earth for the first time and has an unlikely and heartfelt encounter with a young girl that proves to be uplifting for both.
Plot[]
Drop, a small water droplet, awakens high up in the sky to greet his new surroundings as well as his fellow water droplets. He suddenly begins to fall and is hit by lightning. Desperate to hang onto something, he lands on a rain gutter and surfs down, hitting things along the way.
Drop lands on the roof of a car and slides down the window where he spots a little girl playing with a toy. The girl takes notice of him and touches the window. Drop is suddenly reabsorbed into the sky and flies back upward. Now happy about his new life, Drop prepares to rain down once again.
In a post credits scene, Drop lands on a high structure of some kind, turns and happily waves at the audience.
Cast[]
- Michael Herrera as Drop
Trivia[]

- The little girl holds the penguin doll Sir Jorgenbjorgen from Olaf's Frozen Adventure.
