Drosselmeyer is a minor character in Disney's 2018 movie The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. He is a inventor who is Clara Stahlbaum's godfather and Marie Stahlbaum's friend.
He is based on the character of the same name from the original story by E. T. A. Hoffmann and the ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
Role in the film
In the beginning of the movie, Clara and her family go to a Christmas party held by him. When Clara arrives, she ask him if he had the key that opens Marie's last gift for her.
It's not confirmed, but it is implied he had an owl, who travelled to the Four Realms to take care of Clara.
