"Duel With the Devil" is the sixth episode of Marvel's Disney+ series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. It premiered on February 12, 2025.
Synopsis[]
Peter's night off is derailed when he must suit up to face a mysterious intruder.
Plot[]
While Peter deals with Nico supposedly ignoring him, Lonnie is kicked off the football team. He has a brief fight with Pearl, before she privately decides to break up with him. Peter eventually talks to Nico who admits that she was put off by Harry's sudden appearance at the movies, but is okay as long as Peter is fine with him. He convinces her to have another night with the three of them together and she reluctantly agrees.
Lonnie returns home early where his parents are none the wiser about his activities. His younger brother Andre is upset that Lonnie is throwing everything away for him. He had joined the One Tenths because he wanted to feel needed, something the he felt Lonnie had all the time. Angered by this, Lonnie leaves the house. He is alter tailed by Carmilla, but is rescued by the rest of the One Tenths.
Peter goes to pick up Harry while Osborn leaves to attend a gala event. Before Peter steps out, Jeanne suddenly enters through the stairwell and is caught off guard by his appearance. Peter explains to her that he is hanging out with Harry and doesn't think she has clearance to be upstairs. She aloofly agrees and leaves, much to his confusion. Peter and Harry arrive at the former's apartment where Nico and May are there already. While May steps out, Peter attempts to have Harry and Nico bond with each other, via watching old movies. Peter agrees to put his phone away so that he can spend an evening with the two.
At the gala event, Osborn meets with Secretary Thaddeus Ross. Osborn explains that despite the Sokovia Accords being passed, he wants to be ensured that Spider-Man can freely work with them, on the condition that his privacy be maintained with Oscorp. Ross notices through Osborn's tablet that someone has broken into his building. He calls Peter, via Harry who still had his phone on, to get him to go check on it. Peter is forced to cover by claiming that he is heading to the bodega to get sodas.
Peter arrives at Oscorp and discovers that the one breaking in is Daredevil. The two of them fight, with Daredevil informing him that Osborn has secrets, before knocking the wall-crawler out. When Peter comes to, Osborn's security officer Johnathan Gallo give him his phone with Osborn saying that he is coming over to see what has happened. Back at the apartment, Nico and Harry slowly begin to find common ground over tarot cards. Harry asks if Nico knows all of Peter's secrets and he shyly tells her about Peter being Spider-Man.
At Oscorp, Osborn is convinced that Daredevil was hired by his former employee Otto Octavius, as he was the one behind the tech given to Speed Demon, Tarantula, Butane, and Unicorn. Peter is unsure as Daredevil was much more professional, but Osborn believes that he came to possibly dig up some of his old schematics. Peter realizes that he needs to get back home.
When Peter returns, Nico playfully tugs at his backpack and discovers that Harry wasn't lying and that her best friend is, in fact, Spider-Man. Nico leaves, heartbroken. Lonnie rests with the One Tenths with Donovan assuring him that Carmilla was trying to scare him and that he can crash for the night. Carmilla is revealed to have successfully found the hideout and reports back to Gargan who is in the process of getting the Scorpion armor from Octavius.
