Edward Joseph Mahoney, known professionally as Eddie Money, was an American rock singer-songwriter, who had success in the 1970s and 1980s with a string of Top 40 songs and platinum albums. Money was well known for songs, such as "Baby Hold On", "Two Tickets to Paradise", "Think I'm in Love", "Shakin'", "Take Me Home Tonight", "I Wanna Go Back", "Walk on Water", and "The Love in Your Eyes". Known for his husky voice and his blue-collar persona, Money was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance in 1987 for "Take Me Home Tonight".
For Disney, he sang the theme song in Quack Pack and "Everybody Loves Christmas" in The Santa Clause 2. He also guest-starred in The Drew Carey Show.
On September 13, 2019, Money died at a hospital in Los Angeles, California of complications from stage 4 esophageal cancer at the age of 70.
