Eddy Ripple is a character in the 2023 Disney/Pixar animated feature film Elemental. She is the wife of Alan the mother of Marco and Polo and the sister-in-law of Wade and Lake Ripple

Personality[]
Eddy is a very kind-hearted individual who enjoys spending time with her family and other elements. Like the rest of her family, Eddy is very open and welcoming towards other elements, especially fire people as she seen how she warmly welcomed Ember Lumen into her family home.
Physical appearance[]
Eddy's body is entirely made up of translucent blue water, with waves around her head that resemble puffy hair. She is tall and has blue eyes.
Her outfit consists of only a dark yellow sweater covered in pearls and she doesn't wear any pants or shirts.
Role in the film[]
When Wade introduces Ember to his family, he introduces her to his sister Eddy living with her husband Alan. Eddy is later seen having dinner with the rest of the Ripples where they listen to Alan's story of Wade being afraid of sponges, which the Ripples find it interesting. After Alan accidentally breaks the pitcher he is using, Ember uses her fiery ability to fix the broken pitcher, impressing Eddy and the rest of the Ripples. Later during the Crying Game where Wade tells Ember that the light inside her made him feel like that he wants her to be near him, Eddy and the rest of the Ripples emotionally react to Ember and Wade's relationship.
During the climax of the film, Eddy and the rest of the Ripples are seen bidding a farewell to Wade who is leaving just before Wade's relatives began crying together, only for Wade to notice Ember in danger, due to the water bursting through the glass wall Ember made, flowing through the canal. Eddy does not appear again throughout the rest of the film.
Trivia[]
- Given Eddy is usually a boy's name, it is unknown what her nickname is short for.
- Krysta Gonzales is not directly credited as the voice of Eddy and is simply listed under Additional voices. Nevertheless, she was confirmed to be the voice of Eddy.
- In the book of The Art of Elemental reveals that Eddy was about to be an Earth Woman married with Alan Ripple and have a Water son and an Earth son (Water Marco Ripple and Earth Polo Ripple), but that was scrapped beacuse of racism.
