Edgar Wright is an English director, screenwriter and producer.

Wright was originally appointed to direct Ant-Man, and also wrote a draft of the script, but ended up leaving the project on May 23, 2014 over creative differences with Marvel Studios. Wright's position as Ant-Man's director was appointed to Peyton Reed, though Wright was credited for screenwriter, and executive producer in the film's credits.

Wright is a best friend of Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Martin Freeman. Simon, Nick, and Martin appeared in Edgar's Cornetto trilogy. (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World's End)

In The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, he appeared as a cameo. He also voiced Darkwing Duck Director Alistair Boorswan in the DuckTales episode The Duck Knight Returns!
