Edward Harrison Norton is an American actor, filmmaker, and activist. He has been nominated for three Academy Awards for his work in many films, including Primal Fear, American History X, and Birdman. He also starred in other roles, such as Everyone Says I Love You, The People vs. Larry Flynt, Fight Club, Red Dragon, Kingdom of Heaven, The Illusionist, Moonrise Kingdom, and The Grand Budapest Hotel. Additionally, he voiced Sammy Bagel, Jr. in the R-rated computer animated film Sausage Party.

For Disney, he portrayed Lester "Worm" Murphy in the 1998 Miramax film Rounders, Father Brian Finn in the 2000 Touchstone Pictures film Keeping the Faith (which he also co-wrote and directed), and Monty Brogan in the 2002 Touchstone Pictures film 25th Hour.

Norton played Hulk in the 2008 film of the same name before Disney acquired Marvel. He was expected to reprise this role in The Avengers, but due to disputes with production, he was replaced by Mark Ruffalo.
