Emily Erin Deschanel is an American actress, television producer, and film producer, who is best known for her role as Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan in the Fox crime comedy-drama series Bones from 2005 to 2017. She is also the older sister of actress, model, songwriter, and musician Zooey Deschanel.
For Disney, she played Mrs. Morgan in the 2003 Miramax film Cold Mountain, Rosanna Travis in the 2004 Touchstone Pictures film The Alamo, and Mary Haskins in the 2006 sports drama film Glory Road. She also plays Sarah in the ABC TV show The Rookie.
